Why isn't there Steam linux version, but there is non-steam linux version?
There is a non-steam, linux version available so why isn't the linux version available in steam too? The weirdest thing is that when I play the non-steam version on linux, my steam still counts the hours i've played.

Because it has to go through a verification process before it is released on steam, it takes a while.
It already has taken a while. I'm still pretty pissed that this was why I bought the bundle and I can't run it.
It will still count it as a steam game if you have steam running when you launch the game.
UDK has built-in Steam support, and I suppose that extends to Linux as well. Maybe Steam's picked up on UDK's attempt to communicate with it?
It's because the game is already provided with the necessary files to hook into Steam.
