Antichamber > Portal

Well, obvious fact is obvious, but I still want to say it. I myself went about half way though the game, found the red gun and can't be bothered to play anymore. Until lately I came back and watched some walkthroughs.

Wow.

And before I thought Portal series was the best puzzle title out here. Portal requires you to look hard and think out side of the box and makes you go "oh YOU" now and then. Antichamber forces you to think outside about 15 different boxes, while at the same time ask you to think hard.

I admit I got outsmarted (or out-patienced) by the game. It's an annoying fact, indeed, but at least I still have the dignity to pay the dev the respect they deserve. But I'm not gonna ask for more games like or a sequel. I'm gonna reserve some brainpower, lie down and rethink about life....

I wouldn't outright say that Antichamber is a better game than Portal, but it does have more puzzles. Antichamber also has more secrets, and lets you explore just about everything you can reach.

I can't decide which I prefer, though; GLaDOS's original voice, or the coffee-table phrases on the walls of Antichamber.

Portal has more charm straight on. Valve guys are storytelling masters, they could put more charm in a single trailer than most of the whole games if they want.

But I'd say Antichamber takes a lot more brainpower. A LOT more.

I didn't think it took much brainpower. It's easily the best puzzle game I've ever played, but I would like something more challenging and outside the box if at all possible.
