Progress wiped following crashes
I was about 4 hours into the game. I hadn't played for a while and when I booted the game up, it ran fine for a few minutes and then the game froze and I got a BSOD (Windows 8). After rebooting, I tried again and got a BSOD almost immediately. I saw that the issue might have something to do with the .NET framework. I recently downloaded Paint.NET, so I deleted it and the game now seems to run fine, except that all of my progress seems to be gone. Does anybody know what might have happened and if I could get my progress back?

I actually saw the .NET framework thing for another game I was having problems with, so I don't know why deleting Paint.NET actually got the game to run. Still clueless about what to for my save data.

This is why locating and backing up the savegame is critical for games that don't support steamcloud sync. Sorry to say, but "i was about 4 hours in" tells me absolutely nothing about exactly how much you had done (or else i could recreate your save for you in a matter of minutes).

For future reference;
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Antichamber\Binaries\Win32\SavedGame.bin"
is where the save is located on most machines.

Although if you can provide more specific information of exactly how much you had completed, I can recreate your save for you. (i.e. which gun did you have, which puzzles had you solved, which puzzle did you solve to get each specific gun, etc.)

Ah, I didn't realize sync wasn't supported, I'll have to be careful of that. I'm not sure it's actually a huge deal, I was getting nowhere with the green gun, but I found out about the shortcut, so I'll probably just do that.

Alright then, and yea it really shouldn't be a problem since you should be able to remember how to solve all the puzzles that you've already done.
