How do you guys utilise the ability of the Lureplant
Im interested to know your strategy. Do you allow a lureplant to spawn eye plants? Do you place the lureplant near a spider den and watch as it devours each spider? Do you allow it to harvest your twigs or berries for easy pickings? Im interested to know. Share your suggestions/strategies on how you use a lureplant.

I uh... put them places... to look pretty. I don't find the lureplant all that useful. I have a couple scattered around, but I don't like using them for defense (running through the eyeplants is just as damaging as if you tanked something) and the leafy meat is pretty useless. I don't use them to farm, because I don't have any farms bigger than 5 berry bushes/5 saplings, so it's not worth the effort and % items transaction fee they charge.

Though... fun fact, your lureplant can eat your other lureplant, if you plant them side-by-side.
Edit: At least, I believe they can. I know I planted two side-by-side and one of them disappeared. I never got an extra bulb back when I killed the other one.

For a few game days i thought about planting them nearby as a spider/hound defence, but now don't think thats very effective, might try planting a few near ponds to thin out the frogs, and might try planting a few near killer bee hives to see what happens.

How often do you harvest what the lureplant eats? When you leave one near the frogs let me know. Thanks.

Note: frogs can hit anything out of what ever it attacks. So basically if lots of frogs are attacking the lureplant almost everything the lureplant ate will be on the floor around it. I dont think frogs eat meat off the ground...

I use Lureplants+Eyeplants to fight hounds (as long as there are no fire hounds in the pack). The way I plant grass and sapplings makes it too dense for any eyeplants to spawn in there and harvest it all.

I haven't come across any yet,i heard you just find them occasionally in a area you have explored/been in recently,Im not sure if id use them for anything anyway, need to experiment with them a bit :)

just kill them. don't replant any of them because you won't get the items they ate back.

I use them to kill the deerclops. Just plant them far enough away from your base that it runs into them first, and sit back and laugh

Also good for killing krumpkus

Are you serious? One Lureplant can kill a deerclops? I have 2 plants atm. Thinking of relocating them near a spider den :)

You can make a really effective base if you have 4 of them surrounding your base, if you make a sort of crossroads shaped base you can put the lureplants in each of the corner to kill anything that approaches your base, just be careful you get the positioning right or else the Eyeplants will spawn inside your base. If used correctly they can be used as effective killing floors essentially.

Most people use it for harvesting but hounds go absolutely nuts when fighting these guys. I tend not to put them near Spider Dens so i can get even with the hounds on day 100+ and Deerclops when winter shows up, even if Deerclops breaks into my walls, he will still have to take damage of some sort.
