fleshy bulb and suround things

what is the fleshy bulb and what can you do whit it?
because when i came home (in my base) there was a sort of plant surounded by eyes if you hitted them they went away and spawned on the same place a couple seconds later.
when i killed the plant thing it got away and i got a fleshy bulb and some sort of meat.
you can plant the fleshy bulb but what is it. and what can you do whit it?

Well you can plant the fleshy bulb to get another lureplant. They eat everything and digest it all slowly. If your lureplant eats something, you can kill it again and get what it ate back (assuming it didn't digest it already). This can make it useful for farming areas when you're not around (place it near some spiders, for example). You can also just harvest the meat and it'll regen in a few days.

I like to use them to fight hounds, you lose the drops until the plant is killed+replanted but that's not a huge thing to give up when it means you can safely and easily deal with hound attacks.
