Issues running Proteus

Hi all,

I have a newish PC and am having issues running Proteus off of Steam. The main menu runs fine and I'm able to boot up the game but once I click the island the music starts but no video is seen (black screen). Now if I tab away from this screen (in windowed mode) I will see the water in the game. If I click back into the window the gameplay freezes as soon as I move my mouse. Not sure if it is video related or mouse related.

I have tried booting to Windowed mode and Full screen but both are having issues. I have updated my graphics drivers and deleted the settings.txt file and retried but still issues. Any other suggestions on what may be causing this?

Nope. Just left Proteus in my backlog.

I know this is an old thread, but in case anyone here is on a 4k monitor and having this issue:

Follow the instructions in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/219680/discussions/0/613937942861644926/?ctp=2
Then start the game in windowed mode. Do not resize the window, click the island to load into the game. After the game loads in you should be able to resize the window.
