Why (I Think) Proteus is a game
I know I'm bringing up a now old argument (kind of, I guess, even though I still see shut down threads due to this), but has anyone else noticed that Garrys Mod, a game with no definable goal, is easily considered a game? While people try to say, "Oh, Proteus has no goal and is thererfore not a game." Garrys Mod, and its Lego-influenced younger brother Blockland, are both accepted as games and have no definable goal.

And, if anything, I'd think it would be worth it to argue that Proteus does have a goal. Get through all the seasons, which could be easily considered levels, and get to the end. And there is interaction. Chase a frog or the chickens, make the plants jump back into the ground, get chased by the bees. And there is clearly no argument that Proteus is an interactive virtual experience, like every other game in the world.

Proteus is very much a game, its just presented very unusually.
