Random Kicks and IP Bans
So, I was just playing this game where it's a 32v32. Some people decided to start random kicks for no apparent reason. I saw a bunch of people get kicked (the game went from 64 to 45 players) after a while. Then, it was my turn. I got kicked from the only 64 player available server and since I'm using a cable internet connection, my IP is permanently banned from that server. This means that 64 player battles are over for me.

I really think there should be a system that prevents griefing players like this. It happens at least once a match where someone wrongfully gets banned. Worst case scenario, I would just disable the kick feature until a smarter system is implemented.

The really sad thing is that when a votekick goes up, everyone just hammers 'Yes'.
Not everyone is reading the drama or even particularly bothered - but if voting 'Yes' gets rid of the pop-up menu and the alleged troublemaker then that's fine by them.

Someone griefing with teamkills pales in comparison to someone abusing with the votekick system.
Get a clan or a group of friends abusing it and they can completely destroy a game and empty out a server.

This system really needs to be better thought out.

I haven't witnessed a single unjustified ban or kick yet. If there's a random grief votekick, people always tend to vote no, because they don't know the reason.

Are you sure you're banned? Votekicking doesn't ban, it just kicks you temporarily.

If you were banned, it may have been because of your ping. High pingers tend to make the servers lag and make the experience worse for everyone else.

Yea, so Devs, this vote-kicking option that can easily be started by any A$$hole on the server feature REALLY needs to go. Like how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of an option is the ability to start a vote-kick on anyone you desire? Just so you people know how life works, 99% of the time at least 80% of people will vote YES NOT KNOWING WTF IS GOING ON! Then bamm, someone gets kicked. Weather they deserved it or not. This feature needs to go, it's only ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people off and causing people to not want to keep playing your game!

I have voting disabled on our servers. If there is a problem player, you let me know and I will deal with him. Thats the advantage of being in a clan and playing on clan servers. You can administrate them and protect the integrity of the server.

Look for server with The Killing Crew in the server name.

I was on a FFA server that had a duel setting, someone randomly killed me so I try to vote him off. No one voted for yes except me. then they vote kick me and that perma IP bans me.

Broken votething needs to be fixed

Also someone calling a vote because you are always killing them then they get p!ssed and childish because they are not a getting any kills and they are the ones damaging their own team mates!

Permanent IP bans? What terribad servers are you playing on? It's been my general experience that those bans are an hour long.

Yeah I just got kicked for the first time and don't understand what I might have done wrong, I was the highest ranking player on my team (masons) and when the kick came up the team damage said I only did 3 percent.

Like with other games if its a private server not much you can really do. When comes to a private they have own sets of rules or a few who abuse admin powers.

Votekicks only last for around 10 mins guys, you're not permanently banned.

its not pernament if you were kicked by players voting. only admins can ban you pernamently from server. i dont think this is case if you doesnt do anything wrong more times on that server.
like extremly high ping, constant teamkilling/trolling on purpose.racist in chat.. etc

Some have already said it here, but votekicks doesn't ban you permanent from the server it's some where between 5-10 min. For actual perm bans on official servers those are pretty rare only happens to cheaters, racism and repeated offenders. For private servers I can't really answer they have different rules also admin abuse can sometimes happen on there.

Some private servers do have a group or forum where you can report admin abuse tho. If you are on an official server and people are votekicking you without valid reason you can always call an admin here: Chivalry Official Server Admins Group, if no one is in chat feel free to add an admin.
