Blocking works fine play the training to see how to do it properly.
Blocking from behind is interesting but hardly game breaking and its just how the system works. Looks cool.
I disagree with that entirely. I know what normal players look like, and there is a hacker on every server.
I know how blocking is *SUPPOSED* to work, it just doesn't. It fails so often even when performed properly that I have to wonder where people get the hacks that let you attack through a block.
Blocking from behind is entirely game breaking and should be removed along with dragging and being able to control your arc while swinging at all.
It's clear from your reply that you are likely one of the people cheating it up.
ever heard of lag? you sound like one of those 12 year old cod players who calls hacks on anyone that kills them
Looked at profile, 46 of 50 achievements for chivalry + submissions. Clearly you *DO* cheat and shouldn't be listened to.'
Go back to hacking, forum posting is too much for you.
both
It is very likely that someone who makes mods has made other helpful modifcations also, i'll bet those ones you didn't submit though.
You are either
1. A hacker
2. A hacking troll
You need not pick one. You're both.
Combat system in this game = broken. Whoever masters the very unrealistic and arcade glitchy speed manipulation wins.

also you fanboys in that picture is exactly why this game is A broken, and B lacks anything resembling realistic speed manipulation, directional control or otherwise a semblence of anything not hack n spam.

almost forgot the famous "Parry bubble". You guys block with a bubble your sword never does the job.

Post it, let us watch. Show us these "hackers" you are apparently so certain of.
Same goes for the other trolls in this thread. The game is bad? And even though you played for a microscophic amount of hours you still blame the game if you lose?
Being a sore loser is one thing, creating countless posts in which you blame the game without any proof is another.
Post a video where these attacks go "through" your blocks. I dare you.
you created a fallacy. Ive just posted pictures as to why the block system is beyond broken. So yeah nice job *Sarcasm*
The OP is right, to get around the sheild is easy just come at it from the side where that purple block box is useless and shebang you win. For the knight its even easier as his box is pitifully rectangular.
If the block system was broken, you would have made screenshots or a video about that.
I noticed your posts in previous threads about realism as well. As said before, countless times, Chivalry isn't a simulator, it's a fiction-based game.
You posted old screenshots that aren't even yours, that were created for a test with the 'bubble', a mechanic that has been fixed a while ago, after these screenshots were made.
I know you never said those pictures were yours, but that doesn't excuse how you talk about one subject, and post images of another.
If you had ever played the game more than 11 hours(yes, I'm bringing your playtime up into this discussion because it's more than related) you'd know there are more attacks that just your left mouse button, and Chivalry does a lot better job at directional control than most other first person combat games.
You need to have your own opinion, at least. Instead of being a sore loser and then looking around the internet for a negative post made by someone else about the game you can use to back up your own statement, play the game a while longer and use arguments that have little to do with realism.
Any other player in your position would have said "I didn't like the realism factor in this game. Maybe I'll even post a negative review, but then I'lll stop playing Chivalry and be done with it."
It sure beats "I didn't like the realism factor in this game. I will post a negative review, stop playing Chivalry, flood the forums with my negavite and biased opinion, even in threads that have little to do with my opinion, and rip incorrect and outdated information from the internet and use it to back me up."
Show me a video in which you so easily get around a shield against someone who knows how to play this game, because I think you're talking about things you never even tried out for yourself.
Attacking around a shield is normal, intended, and is even discussed in the game's tutorial.
You have no arguement period. Those pictures render your entire arguement and further one about blocking or this game moot. You know nothing of its mechanics and speak as if you do. You sir are a hypocrite.
Also i dont care if those screen shots arent mine, that is another fallacy you have just created to try and deflect the arguement away from yourself and onto me. The screen shots are just evidence to prove half of you fanboys have not the slightest idea at all of the games mechanics while you hypocritically critize those of us who have worked with the UE3 Engine such as the person whom screen shots i am using as an example.
Those pictures don't mean jack. They aren't related to your statement, they aren't related to mine, and they are outdated.
I don't know anything about the mechanics? I played the game for over 900 hours now. You played it for 11 hours and believe any outdated information you read. Try again.
If only you could actually see the irony in that.
