Launch Issues, Install Porblems

After downloading and installing 2K13 I revieved a microsoft direct x error message not sure what it meant. Now when I click play it flashes a window up for about half a second and goes away. I tried redownloading and that didnt work. Anyone have the same problem and anyone have a solution?

I have the same issue and so do a lot of other people according to other threads. I haven't read a solution yet.

ok thanks this is so frustrating we had to wait an extra 28 days and now this... but please let me know if you find a solution

I fixed mine. Update your windows.

Thanks I updated and restarted computer and still same problem, hopefully there a game update soon

UNACCEPTABLE..

bottom line is that a day 1 purchase devaluates when game does not run on day of release/day 1 period.
digital release being pushed back almost 1 month and we get a pile of mess for waiting/buying day 1,lol

ya they need to fix this, I like that their doing a pc version EA doesnt even mess with them anymore besides FIFA but please at least make it just like the consel we dont want to be shortcutted

Yes I'm having the same issues, it's very aggeravting. Here is the thing not only did we have to wait 30 extra days for the realese, we could have all torrenting the game easily.. And me being a loyal customer paying for these games hoping they will keep making them for pc, and they don't even work properly is insane!!! My game loads up fine, but as soon as the Jay-Z intro video is over it crashes to desktop... And I know it's not my computer I have a 680 GTX 32 GB of ram, a 480 GT SSD Corsair and asus board this is stupid... I feel like they are almost pushing us to torrent the stupid game!!! The people actually paying for the game are getting punished?

SURE SEEMS THAT WAY..
some are playing the game, wish for any to give some insight.

i crash right after making profile etc.
every time.
i re-installed/verified etc and i have a limit in terms of gigs used and well im not going to waste any more and hopefully will get support via refund, im all set w/ this.

I have played this game for three weeks on my pc and I have had no problems maybe it could be steam

I bypassed any profille setup which follows the video ( enter email/cd key screen ) and it didnt crash.
but fair to say that you are not missing too much , hope that helps..

Bypass that screen and hopefully you will be able to play single player etc.

I can't even get that far. I've done everything. vid driver update, windows update, deleted local files, re-downloaded & re-installed, disabled steam community in-game, ran it in different compatibility modes.....it still does nothing but flash a black screen and disappear. Absolutely unreal. If anyone has any more ideas please tell me.
