"2k Sports NBA 2k13 has stopped working"
I have an error every time I launch this that says "2k Sports NBA 2k13 has stopped working." Then I am forced to click "Close Program" and it goes to desktop. I tried updating my graphics card, updating DirectX, doing all Windows Updates, and re-installing the game. Any ideas?

Exact same problem here....was hoping for a fix. I just got the game with the amazon 50% off. If anyone knows solutions can you post here or pm me?

Had the same problem and JUST FIXED IT :D.

Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA 2k13.exe" and right click to and go to my properties and go to compatibility. Right click my computer and go to properties and look at your service pack / Windows. On "Compatibility" when you right click nba 2k13, change your compatibility accordingly, mine was changed to "Windows 7". Afterwards, don't close the compatibility menu and afterwards, check off "Always run as administrator" then start the game and mine worked ^_^

Hmmm I tried this and it still doesn't seem to work. It seems like quite a few people are having the same problem as me. Any other solutions?

This worked for me, thanks!!
I'm running Win 7 Ultimate SP1 and setting compatibility to Win XP SP3 with no admin rights worked.
Thanks again!

I was having the exact same issue and changing the compatibility mode did not work for me.

However, verifying the files in steam worked for me as soon as it completed.

> Right click on the game in your library and select "Properties."
> Change to the "Local Files" tab.
> Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"
> Make a nice cup of tea while you wait.

Hopefully this works for anyone still having issues after trying the compatibility fix.
