i dont think renown scales by lvl, but if you use the expert timer (30 second turn) you get +2 renown (pretty sure its 2) win or lose

The renown you get by a fight is fixed, i.e. it doesn't depend on your team-power. So, you get:
  • +1 for each kill (maximum of 6 for a win and max of 5 for a loss)
  • +5 for a win (zero for a loss)
  • +1 for a consecutive win-streak (only Ranked or Tourney matches)
  • +2 for using expert-time (win or lose)
  • +1 for daily login streak (until depleted, counts for Friend matches also)
  • +X if your team-power is lower that your opp's by X points (only for Quick Matches), called "Underdog Bonus".

So, having a large login streak, using expert timer and playing Quickmatches against teams of equal power gets you 14 Renown for a win and 3-8 Renown for a loss.

So if Quick Matches are possible only between teams with same power, how that Underdog Bonus exactly works?
I got it 2-3 times, but I didn't remember details and didn't understand reasons of getting.
For example:
If in pillage mode I have unit with 0 power, and my opponent have unit with 1 power, and I kill him... should I get 1 Underdog Bonus or not?

Quick matches can be played with opponents of greater or lesser power, ranked matches cannot.

If you are in the Quick-Match queue and wait for a long time, the matchmaker starts looking at higher/lower team-power (that are also in QM queue at that moment) to give you a match. The game is not intended to be played that way, but a hard/easy match is better than no match, right?

The Ranked-Match matchmaker works in a similar manner, but extends its search range in player rantings (Elo-ranking), not team-powers. So, if two players with Elo=1500 and 1100 enter the RM queue at the same time, it will require quite some time (e.g. 2-3 minutes) to match them. If another player with Elo=1120 enters the RM queue, he'll "snatch" the 1100 opponent immediately!

Oh, now it is clear.
Thanks for the detailed response.
