Restores droids on startup, even if I tell it not to restore a saved game
I started a game at level 1 last night and played up to around level 33 (?). Now when I start at level 26, it's giving me the same droids I had (including two EMP droids)

uninstalled, deleted .droid_assault_1.91, unchecked auto-update and auto-sync, reinstalled. Verified that my progress was reset to level 1. Created a restore.dat file, then checked auto-sync and reinstalled. Same problem as before.

Not a horrible problem, just a nuisance.

thanks.

It's deliberate, and a much-requested feature we added fairly recently! When you reach a checkpoint the entire state of your squad is saved, along with your current score and transfer points. It was generally reckoned to make more sense than starting the game in the later levels with a powerless Z001 and a few transfer points.

Aha. And you even posted an announcement about the change. Guess I should look for those :)

I kind of like the challenge of starting from scratch at the higher levels though. Maybe you could make this an option.

What it really needs is slots like Revenge of the Titans has.

yea slot would be nice, wouldnt mind beaign able to try again with out the risk of saving over a better save file
