Puppy Games = Awesome Games!
Played both Titan Attacks! and Revenge of the Titans and simply loved them to bits, Puppy Games do a great job with retro games so I picked this up as soon as it came up on Steam.
If anyone's interested the devs provide a free demo here: http://www.puppygames.net/downloads/?game=droid-assault

Is it a twin stick shooter?

Puppy Games do seem to nail the retro style. They do them right.

No, it's keyboard mouse, but in another post here they say they're working on controller support

I agree, I own all thier games and I love the retro art style they have in their games. They also have great customer support.

As long as they make games I'll be buying them.

I love everything they put out. I just saw the video regarding this game and it reminds me the classic arcade game Berzerk (that may give you a clue as to how old I am).

Thank God today's pay day and close to the weekend. I'm buying this as soon as I get home from work.

Thanks to Titan Attacks! and Revenge of the Titans, I just picked this up as soon as I saw it. No regrets either. Thanks PuppyGames for keeping it up!

Looks fun! I would buy this for 8 dollars or 6 euros, but not 8 euros
It's a principle thing, i dont actually care that much about 2 euros.... but haaaaate the dollar=euro thing which sometimes happens on steam. I dont know whos responsible (valve, puppygames or both?) but it's ridiculous and needs to be corrected!

No one person is responsible for all prices on Steam, those prices are set for each region by the publisher or developer. The game is currently €8.71 on Puppygames own page (including VAT), or $12.46 if you choose to pay in USD. The company is in the UK, so it's not a question of a US game being sold in EUR as if they were USD.

€8.71 is also exactly what I paid back in July when buying direct, except I paid in SEK. :)

In the EU you (we) are taxed; that's why it's more expensive for us Europeans. Look on the bright side - stuff costs a bit more here but over there, they don't have any health care system worth mentioning, and that's worth 1000x more.

It costs more on the site than on steam, even if the 20% off wasn't on its still cheaper on steam... why? (otherwise I'd buy direct from dev)
cprince  [producent] 12 stycznia 2013 o 16:02
That's because we actually offer rather a lot more than Steam. Not only do you get a Steam key for free, and a Linux version, we're happy with you giving it to your friends and family, too.
bills6693 12 stycznia 2013 o 17:21
ah fair enough :) I guess you are paying for the DRM-free version in addition to the steam version which is nice :)
