getting more droids

Is there a limit to how many droids you can get? I was pressing the right mouse button but couldn't get any more droids. I had 3 left (max I had was 5). The intro mentioned the transfer number what not but there wasn't much details about it.

I remember getting +1 transfer. I'm assuming that's how I'm supposed to get more transfer 'points'?

You get extra transfer points by scoring ordinary points. It's a non-linear scale; the first xfer point comes after 500pts, then it's 1000, then 1500, etc. so getting the full 9 transfer points takes quite some effort.

The +1 transfer bonus of course helps a lot :)

The cost of a droid in xfer points is shown over its head when transfer mode is active. It'll be red if you can't afford it and blue if you can; the current number of xfer points you have is shown inside the targeting reticle just to be sure you know how many you've got. You might not realise it but you can also take over turrets.
