No pet runs!

Has anyone ever tried going as far as they can without buying any pets? I have just completed the first 40 levels and I only bought the droid power and the movement upgrades. I have to say, not having any pets sure changes your attack stategy! Usually, I let pets attack closeby enemies while I take down enemies that spawn on the other side of the screen. Now its only my own firepower that has to do the job!
