Way to reset controls to default?

Bought the game a few min ago. I tried to change the movement keys to the arrow keys but now my menu goes crazy. It keeps going over all options with insane speed like someone keeps pressing the down key and I can't pick any menu option now reliable.

Is there a way to revert control back to default outside of the game?

This is happening to me, too! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the problem persists.

Yea I'm not sure why it does that, I managed to change the walk keys back to wsad now manually just by getting in the control menu and then spamming enter to change the walk keys.

Go to your Hotline Miami folder (usually like: steam\steamapps\common\hotline_miami) and delete the "keyboard.dat" file. Thats it :) No need to reinstall game.

I have not such a file in the mentioned directory. :-(

This file only appears if you play Original version. If you play Updated version there's no easy way to reset controls, you have to delete your whole save file ^^'

From the FAQ:
