'The Boss' achievement problem. Any help?

So I must have not had Steamworks on when I got all the pieces of the puzzle so now can I get the achievement? I can't re-do the code so I doesn't look good.

If you're playing original version (which I assume since you say you have to activate Steamworks), make a backup and then edit file "saves.dat" in your game folder ("<steamfolder>\steamapps\common\hotline_miami") using your favorite text editor.

Line 46 should be a single 0. Change it to 1, save file, play through any level and it should unlock.

It appears that Line 46 was already a 1. I'm still at a loss.

Well, original version is known to have bugged achievements. You can't play the updated one?

I can play updated and have been however my progress is the same so the puzzle was solved I start playing the updated 2 days ago.

Well, if you're positively sure line 46 (the last line) is a "1", I guess Steam Achievement Manager is your last hope...

I know this is like a little too late, but I had the same issue, changed line 46 to 0 and resolved it and it worked fine.
