HLMiami now crashes at startup
I played this game for about 4 hours yesterday with no problems, but now it no longer works. The same thing happens every time the game launches: the Devolver Digital logo displays, and suddenly the game crashes. No error message or anything, it just instantly closes itself. I tried reinstalling that vcredist file, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing changes.

Having the same problem... Played a few hours yesterday witouth any problems (gotta love the new graphics)... Tried to launch it this morning. Launcher starts as usual. But when i click launch, the game starts, then crashes after a few seconds witouth any errors. It just closes itself.

This fix is actually not a proper way to fix Updated version. It will disable Steam overlay.

(I'm only guessing but am 98% sure that) The crash happens because Steam overlay tries to inject itself into the application and fails due to Updated's OpenGL version not being supported by your graphics driver.

If you have NVIDIA Optimus or anything that switches between integrated and dedicated graphics, make sure the game runs on the dedicated graphics.

If you haven't or that didn't help, update your graphics driver and try again, it will probably solve the problem.

The game has been working for me fine until my computer performed a disk check and now it gets to the loading screen with the video player and then goes white and box comes up saying "HotlineGL.exe has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly." It seems to have stopped working now that the safesaver adware has been removed and i really don't want to reinstall that.
If you have a solution please help.

Thanks but it didn't work, I've decided just to start over on my laptop. Thanks anyway.

I set the exe in my Nividia settings to use the dedicated card. The game worked.
