The gameplay, definitely. The risk/reward element, plus the amazingly stylized visuals helped make the game stand out.

It would be the music, gameplay and violence for me. Also the very interesting but unintruvise storyline. The story is good, but doesn't get int he way of the gameplay.

That you can keep trying without having to wait. Even when you die the momentum can still be there. That, and the music.

How it's the perfect mix between stealth and Rambo, no lifebars (one hit kill), no respawn time, the visuals and the music

The immediate restarts cannot be understated as a good thing, because in 2013 it feels like the vast majority of developers large and small continue to get that one so badly wrong. Nobody wants to put up with sitting through minutes of unskippable cinematic caused by their failure, especially if they've seen it dozens of times before.

I generally abhor gratuitous violence, but the gameplay (and non-lifelike visuals) make up for that and so much more. The combat mechanics are very fun. Situationally the game can be challenging or a relaxing slaughter, without ever being too abusable, and never impossible unless you put yourself into a corner.

music,defenitly the very fast pace gameplay,the difficulty of learning how to do certain things and feel like a boss when you pull it off
