Error with puzzle pieces

I can't pick up the puzzle pieces. I tried reinstalling it, but bug still exists. Anyone having this problem on PC?

What are these "puzzle pieces" anyway? I haven't even seen them - do I need to wear the first mask to find them?

It must help but as far as I know you can find it with every mask

Little purple pieces...usually 1 in each level. You can find them without Owl (it just makes them easier to spot). They are required to solve the puzzle and thus getting different ending.

Huh, I guess they have no "arrows" pointing to them?

By "Level" you mean the set of stages before getting into the car, right? I guess I'll have to play the game a second time after I finish my current playthrough then.

It usually takes me a couple of times to actually pick it up.

No arrows...they are tiny little squares/tiles, on the ground, desk, etc. Yeah, thats what I meant...I am not sure though, whether there are more of them at one stage (e.g. 1. on groundfloor, 2. on third floor). Getting them is retroactive however...so just play those old stages later on, where you think you might missed them and then play the last level after solving the puzzle in pause menu.

Oh, there's a level select feature? Or is that only available after beating the game?

You hit Continue or something like that in main menu...there you can select stage to play (unfinished&bonus ones are locked ofcourse).

Is it also possible to do AFTER finishing the game, in case I do it without all the puzzles and want to go back to find the ones I missed?

Yes, progress stays saved as long as you have the game installed. You can come back to any stage whenever you like. Solving Puzzle only makes difference in the very last stage and if you solved it, you still have the option to choose the ending that you would get without solving it at all. So you are not missing out anything really.
