Edit: The game's launched. It's still missing controller support, the achievements don't seem to work and the screen tearing is abysmal but the game itself is great. Hopefully these issues will be resolved in a forthcoming update.

We're 5 months removed from the dev's telling Mac users on Twitter that a version for their machines was coming 'soon' and that they could preorder it. Since that time it's been painfully obvious that they've diverted their efforts onto the upcoming PS3 and Vita versions and decided to pretty much ignore the Mac. As one of many people who bought the game, I'm not happy. Promising updates on the situation on Twitter and then not delivering them isn't helping them garner any goodwill either.

At this point, they should just give up and offer refunds.

Its actually uploaded to steam. Its in testing right now, and will be released soon. They asked for people to apply to test it, and during that test some problems arose, and so they are dealing with that.

Also: the Sony console versions are not dealt by them, but by porting houses, as is usually the case

I've been following the situation and am aware of all that. It's not the ridiculously long time that they're taken that's so annoying as much as their pitiful communication about the situation.

I'm waiting too for an OSX version. OSX users are used to buy their software, so port it and i'll buy it.

why don't achievements unlock? i declined to use steamworks in the intro, and now it won't let me enable it. could that help?

Getting ♥♥♥♥ tons of screen tearing in the OS X version, which I don't remember being the case with the Windows version. Passable but kind of irritating.

Well yeah, of course you won't get achievements if you disable Steamworks. No idea how you turn them back on though.

Ahaha, i disbled Steamworks too and i don't get achievment. Any idea to enable it again. (maybe uninstall/reinstall).

I'm having an issue getting the mouse wheel to lock onto enemies. Haven't run into the screen tearing issue yet.

I've got a file called 'steamon' in ~/Library/Application Support/Hotline Miami. If you've got an equivalent called 'steamoff' or something similar, I'd guess deleting that might turn Steamworks back on.

Purely speculation, of course. I'm taking no responsibility for what might happen if you try it.

So I finally get to run this outside of Paralells and now all the music is gone! Everthing else in the Mac version works fine. Anyone else having this problem? I see it was also a problem for the PC version, but none of the fixes really apply here.
