Hotline Miami Slow Down Fix(WORKING)
So after numerous attempts to get the game to NOT run slow I have finally found a fix. that should work for most. Load up the game on any chapter. When its starts running slow .Press Alt Tab or Ctrl Alt delete and switch your resolution. I go from 1024x768 to 800x600 accept the changes and go back to the game. Should be running smooth as butter. Fixes the issue everytime for me.

I have to change my monitor resolution to deal with the game due to the fact that the devs did not include any options? Most dissappointed, I am.

Edit: Oddly this does not work if you chnage the resolution beforehand, at least for me.

Yeah pretty dumb. I just have to keep rebooting the damn game. Ughzzz. So sloppy. But such a good game.

i have a better fix: rightclick the game's exe, disbale visual themes and desktop composition, done! this will disable the ingame vsync and eliminate all slow downs.

Hey, this is quite old, you may want to try out the beta to fix slowdowns problems ;)
Right-click on the game in your library -> Properties -> Betas -> code is "hlm".

This has worked for me so far: Find your Steam folder [typically in the Program Files (x86) folder] and go to Steam/steamapps/common/hotline_miami. Now run the game via the HotlineGL.exe file located in this folder. Hope this works for everyone!
