No desktop icon

I know this is pretty minor, but when I create a hotline miami desktop shortcut, it displays a blank page. Does anyone know how to fix it? I want to add it to my game shortcut collection so my desktop looks sexy. :)

If you are trying this by steam, go instead into the game's directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\hotline_miami and find the HotlineMiami.exe, right click and go create desktop shortcut :)

Find Hotline Miami in Steam Apps in Your Steam Folder in Your C drive and find the Hotline Miami With the icon and drag and place on the desktop

Go to your Steam library, select Hotline Miami and right click down to “Create Desktop Shortcut”. Select the new Shortcut and right click down to Properties. In Proprieties select change icon then select Browse and navigate to the directory that Hotline Miami is kept in; usually that is Steam – Steamapps – Common - Hotline Miami. Select the Hotline Miami exe icon and apply. The shortcut should now have the exe icon’s image.

All of these are bad solution, is there anyone know how to force steam to download the shortcut icon?

No there isnt... and honestly the one that @COSH666 said takes about 12 seconds.
