steam in-gane layout doesn't work

so, i want to screenshoot and talk to friends while playing, but the in-game steam layout doesn't exist, no echivement massage pop-up, no way of getting into the shift + tab layout, and no taking screenshots, what do i do?

Add game as a non-steam game. It's a temporary thing, not guaranteed to work.
