Well, you just use a program like Xpadder, or if you have a Logitech gamepad the logitech gaming software to map the keys to the controller... like me

I'd look for a better program than Xpadder, it doesn't handle thumbsticks properly. Instead of full 360 degree rotation, you only have 8 directions to use. The tilt is still detected correctly, so you can still look/move around at different speeds.

The 8 max directions would be a large problem with this game as enemies will usually be between those 8 directions. 360 degree rotation is a requirement.

True, I already noticed that.

I would recommend getting x360ce which emulates the 360 controller for windows and works on practically all controllers without problems. https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/
you need to place its files in the game directory and run it once after that your controller will work.

if you where to use xpadder it would be logical to map the aiming to the mouse which would still allow you 360 degrees of aim however not movement.
