Hotline Miami

Super low FPS (1 frame every 5 seconds)
XP/ GeForce FX 5200/ P4 2.66GHz / 1GB RAM

Laugh it up, but I can run Rome Total War on it, but this game runs at a crawl. Meet the recommended requirements as well. There's no memory leak going on - it takes up 128kb (with 1GB availible) and CPU is hardly reaching max load.

Stuff I've tried:
Disabling VSYNC
Running on a low res
Changing res mid-game
Running windowed mode
Disabling visual themes
Running the exe as admin
Running the exe (HotlineGL) straight from the Steamapps folder

Getting a new PC in about 20-ish days, so it's not a huge problem, but it's annoying not to be able to play such a good game nonetheless.

Thanks for the help in advance.

You probably already did but verify you have latest graphics driver. Since you've been fiddling with the options I assume you've been running Updated version all along, so could you upload the file "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\HotlineMiami\debug.log" on or something?

It contains information on what happens when you launch Updated version and could help track down the problem.

Try verifying the integrity of steam chache, you may have some missing files. Otherwise your 1GB of ram may just not be able to handle the qwerky camera and the filter.
