I am annoyed too:

in a screenshot the lines are visible but not flickering of course. I think you just have to get used to it.
As I said, it occurs whether v-sync is on or off.
OK, I had a little play around with settings and have discovered that this screen tearing effect does not occur in the old version of the game, or when the updated version is in windowed mode. However, on a fullscreen updated game play session, it occurs very often. It also still occurs when I set the reslution to 1280x720. What could be the explanation for this?
Unfortunately I am unable to show you a screenshot of the effect, as it doesn't seem to appear on screenshots. All the stills I took did not show the effect, even though it is quite noticeable when the game is moving. Weird.
Well that's good to hear it's intentional, even if I'm not a big fan of it. Is there a post somewhere where the developers mention it?
I do wonder though, as it only seems to occur as you're moving on screen. When you halt, it stops. Ah well, I'm overthinking things.
