Deletes saves at a certain mission.
I've beat this game twice on an old pc and am trying to do so again, but it deletes all of my save data on the mission Safehouse for no reason. I've went through the game up to that mission twice but still the same result if anyone could help that would be great.

Huh, that is a strange issue. Are you playing on Original or Updated version?
Original.

OK, I'm not sure it's going to fix the issue (first time I see that) but in any case it's better to play on Updated whenever possible. If it crashes on startup, you may want to try the fixes in this thread ;)
I tried the suggestions to fix the slow motion problem on updated Windows 8 but it didn't work do you have any other ways to fix that problem?

Are you positively sure you have latest graphics driver?

If you have a laptop with switchable graphics, does it run on your dedicated graphics processor and not your integrated processor?
Wait would there be a problem if my laptop was fitted with two graphics cards?

Well if the game runs through the graphics processor integrated to your CPU, it won't run as well as on your dedicated graphics card (GPU). What is your hardware?
Nvidia Geforce and Intel core i7.

It's quite likely you have switchable graphics. See this guide[support.lenovo.com] and check that HotlineGL.exe runs on the high-performance processor.
Nope running it on the High-performance made it slower.

Even when you disable V-sync?

Huh... Honestly it's quite strange Hotline Miami does not run flawlessly on a dedicated GPU such as yours. If you have an I7 CPU I assume your laptop is mid-to-high-end and should have an okay GPU, and certainly one capable of running the game.

It must something with the settings in your NVIDIA control panel, with "Manage 3D settings" trying to force some filter or specific processing on the game. You'd generally want any settings in there to be "Use application setting" whenever possible. Unfortunately I do not have any precise guide about that :/
