Game Keeps Crashing
My copy of the game keeps crashing after about 45-60 min. of play. I use the updated version of the game and have since startup. The game loses all text and there are blank black bars where the ammo and score HUD notifications should be. The game then makes all Character modles, furnature and walls invisible, although still playable (the cammera still follows my character and I can still kill enemies, use weapons, etc.). Then the entire map and all entities dissapear, only leaving the flashing background and music. I cannot change graphics cards as I am on a laptop. Specs: Toshiba 15.7', Intel i3-m @ 2.5 ghz, Intell graphics 4000, direct x 11, 600GB Hard Drive, and 6GB RAM running Windows 8. please help. The crash does not kill the game, but it is annoying. Any GENUINE help would be greatly appriciated. No spam comments and not helpful fixes like "Lol noob get a better computer XD" or [insert generic answer by a person who has no solution to the problem, but wants to sound smart].
Thanks.

Hey dude, this is a common issue with older integrated graphics like yours.
Possible fixes includes:
For the second fix:
Right-click on the game in your library -> Properties -> Local files -> Browse local files -> Right-click on "HotlineGL.exe" -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7.
If it still doesn't work try again with Windows Vista (Service Pack 2).

Yet I'm afraid there's not much you can do mate, since this is a hardware limitation. Sorry about that :/
Others like you have stated this only happens after some time, so what they usually do is restart the game before it starts to glitch so as to flush the graphics memory.

Ah I see, ok. Thank you very much for your help. I think it is strange though how so many games have graphics card and driver limitations. I can't change or upgrade my card because I am on a laptop and it is intergrated into my motherboard. Why is it that the better cards like NVIDA that all newer games use, are usually paired with a very low end AMD processor? Intel vastly superceeds AMD in speed and processing power, so why ae Nvida cards not paired with intel processors on laptops? I could build my own custom laptop for gaming on the go, but doing so is almost twice as expensive as building an equivilant Desktop. Also im not very tech savy when it comes to electrical components. Well guess I got to get an Alienware laptop or a kick ass destop :)

Integrated graphics are built into the CPU but are not designed to handle gaming.
Dedicated graphics card are built with a specialized architecture designed to handle gaming.

You can't compare the speed or processing power of CPU and GPU, since their purpose and thus internal architecture are different. A GPU simply cannot handle the type of computations that a CPU does, and while a CPU can do the same computations as a GPU does, it will not do it efficiently and will be slow in comparison even if his processing speed is theoretically superior.
Integrated graphics processor DO have an architecture analogous to that of a GPU, but since they are integrated into the CPU they lack many things, notably a huge number of dedicated graphics cores and a huge memory to store data, which is why they perform poorly for gaming.

That's also why most recent mid-to-high-end laptops have both an integrated graphics processor and a dedicated graphics card.

Thanks for the clarification mate :)
Will be getting a high end laptop soon with my extra university money, just don't tell them that XD
