Gamebreaking graphical glitch! Help!
I'm about 2/3 of the way (I think) through Hotline: Miami, and thoroughly enjoying it. However, I've reached a point where I'm experiencing a graphical glitch that is making it impossible for me to finish.

It seems to happen whenever I play the game for too long (that is, more than about 20 minutes or so). When it occurs, layers of graphics start to disappear- so I'll be in the middle of a game, when suddenly, any and all text and certain sprites will disappear (including the pause menu). If I keep playing, more sprites will disappear, including enemies and parts of the background. Then the majority of the background. I've gotten to a point where all I could see is my character. This obviously makes it very very difficult (if not impossible) to finish a level, and the only way I can find to fix it is to exit the game and re-start (which can sometimes be done by messing around with the non-visible menu, but usually I have to do a hard exit). This means that unless I can finish a level really quickly (which isn't likely since the game can be so difficult) I can't finish it, because by exiting the game I lose any and all progress I've made, and the levels are getting to be really long.

Has anyone else had this problem? I asked about it on Reddit, but the only response I got was that maybe my graphics card is overheating- which seems unlikely since I have so many other games that are so much more graphically-intensive that I can play for hours and hours and hours.

I'm very much enjoying this game, and would love to finish it, but this is becoming an obstacle that I can't overcome. Any help would be most appreciated!

If you play on Original version, please don't and use Updated.
If you can't play Updated version, see this thread for fixes.
If you already play Updated version, update graphics driver.
