Xbox 360 Controller Problems

This game has never worked for me in Windows. I have an Xbox 360 controller, works fine in all my other games. Game won't even recognize it. Need some help.

Yes. I have also deleted the game and reinstalled it. I just don't understand. I also had problems with Borderlands 2, Sanctum 2, Outlast and Super Meat Boy. Those issues were solved by disabling a HID compliant controller in my device manager. The only egg I can't crack is this hotline miami thing. Luckily I dual boot and it works on Linux but it's such a pain to reboot every time I want to play Hotline Miami and then go back to Windows to play Windows only games.... oh well.

Sounds like you installed some software in the past to fiddle with Xbox Controllers, right? Something like vJoy maybe?

Im not sure but I had a Logitech controller and downloaded something for it. If I was booted into my Windows partition I could tell you but I'm up in Ubuntu right now.

My wired 360 controller also just doesn't work with this game. The mapping is really strange but in my other games the controller works just fine. Drivers were only just installed.
