How do i reset controls for updated version of the game

Wanted to see if i could make controls work better if i reconfigured the controls.
It got confusing and messed up everything of it.

I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but the control settings were still the same.

plz help.

The control settings are stored in your Updated save file, in "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\HotlineMiami\SaveData.sav". If you delete this file it will restore your controls but also make you lose all your progress.

You can edit the controls in "Options\Controls" from the Main Menu, but there is no "Reset to defaults" setting, you'll have to edit them manually (WASD for moving and R for restarting, you can't edit any other).
