Updated version won't start and the original crashes

When I start the game on updated it does nothing. If I play the original game at the end of the level I get

Any help?

I cheacked my debug log and it only said: Failed to init SteamAPI.

The "Failed to init SteamAPI" for Updated version can often be solved just by restarting Steam (it's a Steam issue, not Hotline Miami).
