Not working on Windows 8?

I downloaded and installed this on my Win7 pc first and then played it with no problems. After that I installed Win8 over my Win7 (not a good idea, yeah...) and now I downloaded Lucius again and tried to open it. Gives me an error "Can't load Main Shader" Any help would be really appreciated!

Whoa I verified the files with Steam and it told me 400 files need to be re-downloaded and it downloaded those files and the game started. Only thing is now there is no sounds :/

on store page windows 8 isnt included in supported os

I got it working with Windows 8. This is what I did.
1) Make sure Windows 8 is up to date.
2) Make sure your Video/Sound drivers etc. is up to date.
3) Update DirectX
4) Run Steam as Administrator
5) Set Lucius.exe file to run as Administrator in the steam apps folder.
Bingo!

If it doesn't work, try launch Lucius.exe instead, and post the error output.

It still shows Can't create Direct3D device. And the shortcut on my desktop doesnt have that Lucius logo on it

my shortcut dosent have the lucius logo but my works well, i have to play on low graphics though as it lags a bit on any other setting. i guess its just your pc/laptop because i have windows 8 and it works.

I got it working. Just had to update to Windows 8.1. The most satanic game ever. LOL
