won't stop crashing randomly [FIXED]
title

**EDIT: To sum up for people wanting to have this fixed themselves, all I did was go to the website that the GPU Drivers were on for my computer and download the most recent driver update.
Example: I use a GeForce NVIDIA GPU, so I got a newer driver for it at http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Do you have the crashlog on hand? Any mods installed?

No mods, and I found a recent crash log but don't know what part to send.

There's no PAYDAY 2 folder in my local app data folder

Though if you have no moda and the game is crashing that's kind of just Payday being Payday. Unless someone you are playing with have mods that end up crashing you. For example, there's a mod that adds fire slugs to shotguns that crashing anone who doesnt have them the moment you fire.

There's really no rhyme or rhythm to it crashing. I've noticed that being in the skills menu does make it stutter more, actually. I've tested this. In-game and menu are the same in terms of time it takes to crash (around 30 mins) but being in the skills menu will cause the game to crash within a 2-5 minute period unless I make sure to leave that menu and re-enter it.

I would just like to play my game without it crashing every time I'm in the middle of One Down and about to earn 20 more levels to my XP before I crash at the very end.

It is happening to me as well. I am currently validating my files.

Gonna try uninstalling hamachi. (Uninstalled it in the past, helped a little, recently had to reinstall it for another game w/ friends.)

Does the game crash if you let it sit in that menu? I know i've been able to deliberately crash my game by spanning through my sidderent loudout slections fast and long enough for the game to overload or whatever and crash. But it shouldn't just be crashing after a few minutes of tweaking.

Yea, just being in the menu itself is what upsets the game. I can have it sit there.

Selection menu: menu with text (only) to get to other places
Interactive menu: menu with animations like weapon menus or skill tree

-Instance Ideal-

Being Idle:
In-game; crashes in about 30 mins
In "selection" menus; crashes in about 30 mins
In "interactive" menus; crashes in 2-5 minutes

Being Active:
In-game; no difference if in a level being idle or moving and completing objectives, still 30 mins
In "selection" menus; same reasoning for being active in-game, still 30 mins
In "interactive" menus; still no difference.

There's no difference whether I'm doing something or not. For whatever reason the game likes doing this to torture me.

With that all being said and done, I'm gonna try and run my game now. See how long it lasts after repairing software and removing hamachi.

Best of luck. That's some weird stuff if its both not modded, and crashing consistently.

This is just annoying as hell now. I can't play for 30 minutes without crashing mid-game. It's so garbage.

you will need to post your crash.txt file.

you might need to show hidden files/folders before doing this, and that can be done through control panel file explorer options, then select view tab and find show hidden files/folder .. make sure it has a checkmark next to it .. select apply and close that window/control panel

then right click your start button select search or run ... or just press winkey+R
and type %localappdata%\Payday 2

post the crash.txt file .. and post that entire file (it will be the most current crash)
post it all, from date to system specs and everything in between

do not post the crashlog.txt(this file contains every crash)

I understand how to retrieve this file already. The problem is: there is no Payday folder in my roaming folder. I'll check into this tomorrow, so hold your ground. For now I'm off to bed.
