Should PAYDAY have mod support?
Should it have mod support? I'd love to see lots player-made content like community made weapons, masks, heists, ect. Just throwing that idea out there... Any opinions?

I believe this has been asked before. One of the main concerns was that people would make cheating maps where they'd get several millions for a few minutes of work. The idea that they should be tested by moderators/developers before they'd be released was thrown out there but then again people might hide stuff or something. I don't know... It would add a great deal of maps at least so there's that.

How about if you play a custom heist you get no xp/money

or just set it to an amount

like set pay grade depending on how long the heist is and difficulty increases it, so if its 3 days long you get a similiar pay to a normal 3 day heist

They would have to moderate that no cheat maps are let through... Stuff like spawning just a room full of turret parts and no guards...

Money reward could probably be managed by the maps creator, maybe tell people who make maps if their heist has too much loot if it does and make them remove some if they want to get it through...

XP rewards probably would need to be entirely managed by Overkill, since how to determine difficulty based on a map design purely, I don't think theres a way for the game to acknowledge how hard or easy a heist would be...

OR, once again, NO REWARDS.

it is the best solution.

It could be like TF2 or DOTA2 where we vote for things (masks, patterns, heists) on the workshop and the most popular ones get added in an update.

Killing floor has a pretty good system setup. Basically, maps don't grant any class progress unless the devs have whitelisted the map into their system.

(Although they did away with the maps requiring whitelisting awhile back, custom weaps still need whitelisting though i belive)

Yes. Payday 3 ABSOLUTELY NEEDS CUSTOM CONTENT. This game's style would benefit HEAVILY from it. If they are so asanine to not do whatever it takes to feature mod support, I won't be getting 3. And I put 250 hours into this game. Cheating maps is the LEAST of their worries. If this game had mod support, it would be much more active and would be immortilized. Payday 3 with mod support would be a perfect way to finish the main series off.
