Delete character.
Hi, is there any way to delete a character and start again? First release of Jagged Alliance is my childhood among others and starting to play online badly were extended characters, and now I'm doing the "cannon fodder". If you do not give the administration would ask to delete your account "FLO" and giving me the opportunity of creating a new one.

Regards,
cNE.

Developpers are supposed to work on some kind of reset.

Any news from you guys in the secret lab ?

It's not a priority i bet, they're most likely focused on the important stuff like lag and server problems. Stuff like this will come later on most likely

Regarding on the reset option: We are working through some ideas right now and hope to be able to realize them soon.

Regarding the name: You can always send a request to the support team (jao-support@cliffhanger-productions.com) team and make a case for a name change. I think in your position szddfgdsfhs that shouldn't be an issue. :)

"i was creating my char, then my cat jumped on the keyboard...so my merc is called jgsepig(njkinhtko" - a very classic one indeed - :p

Thanks for answering. i'm waiting for my main reset as it is a gunner and i want to make him a soldier. Problem 1 is that it would annoy me to keep the "gunner profile" icon and 2. Actual game reset tells me that he will keep the class points in machine guns and the rest can be spent at will, but i want to discard machine guns...

So, for the moment my main is sticked to his old MG i use my 3other mercs for missions and have to farm to level up my main...not really handy

you can always just respec, the profile dosent really mean anything really. If you respec all of the points are reset to 0 and you just redo them as you want. Or that's how it was explained to me, ive not needed to do a reset yet

well, when you hit the RESKILL button, it says that all physical points will be reinitialised and that weapon points will be reinitialised except for the original value of the class weapon.

i can't check now as i don't want to spent 800$ to level up and to see again the reskill button, but i'm pretty sure i memorised well the reskill thingie. So, too bad if i don't want to have a useless 30% machine guns...

I'd love a whole restart with my merc group. I had a weird lag glitch and all of my mercs items are gone...kind of a big prolem.

Please stop spamming. Post has explained that involves the removal of the account. You write about reskillu, but it costs money and that mnieć in my case would help only DLC or re-buy for real money. Well, I come from Polish and here's one euro is 4 PLN. Very expensive to work out. And is it possible to buy dlc only in euros?

I could get down with that. I understand that it takes a lot of intricate rewriting in the database to change just your character or whatnot. What I would like is just a "Delete EVERYTHING" that would let me start completely over. I tried the Delete Local Content via Steam, but (in rather obvious hindsight) one's info is stored on the central server.

Failing that, I know you can run this game from the Dev website or other places, does anyone know if I could I start an account there that I could then bind to my Steam account?

nothing is saved locally, it's all on their servers so deleteing the game or local cache is pointless. All you can do is email the devs.

As for news, give them a chance. It's not like they can just sit down and code the stuff in 5 minutes, stuff like this can take months to get right and to work without bugs. Especially since it's not a big priority, getting the game stable is

Well, personally I'm waiting for news about the ability to reset your character before I buy. This game is on my list of things to buy, but only when I can reset my character.

Been waiting for well over a month for some kind of progress. Has any progress been made with regards to players being able to reset their characters?
