Is the game worth it?
The game looking good, and the first missions are very fun. I see that I can not change my class , company name, is this right?

What dou you think is this game worth the money?

I'm looking at SRO at the moment, but the game has no content at this time.

Thanks for the answers!

Yeah this is a great game, I've played almost 300 hours.

And yeah you can't change your class or company name, But you do have a re skill option for your mercs.

Good luck and have fun!

No, it is NOT worth buying. Poor PvP - pay2win; add on crappy, repetitive missions which you can't complete if you have no money or the weapons required to compete. It is a seriously poor version of the iconic single player game.

As Rei said, it's not worth it. The way the game is designed you need to pay real money to play it, some missions even require you to pay real money to even be able to try them (that is after you BOUGHT the campaign) and with no garantee it'll land you anything.
You need to have acess to their servers to be even able to play the game, and when they are overloaded (read every weekend since launch) you just can't play at all...
In my opinion it was design to be an easy payout from the get go, and I'm sad I fell for it.

Nope, not worth buying. It was a F2P game, that was aimed at microtransactions and the company has just said in this very forum they have given up on this game.

I find it funny that if all the new players weren't put off this game because everyone said it's not worth it, Then this game might have a chance.

Honestly, this game (JAO) and Jagged Alliance: Back in Action kinda feels like a case of switched at birth. The parents that wanted to develop a cash-grab/free-online/micro-transaction fueled game SHOULD of gotten the unfaithful ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ child that was BiA. The fans that were willing to pay full price for a faithful remake SHOULD of gotten JAO.

In a perfect world, we would of gotten BiA with the PlanNgo system torn out, infused with JAO's engine and graphics, with JAO's micro-transaction elements ripped out, and replaced with a more comprehensive money/inventory system that BiA had. But no, we got a retail game that mocks everything JA2 was, and we got a game with SO much promise and potential but it's aimed at trying to be micro-transaction based.

I really hope we get the game we want in that JA fueled by the Kickstarter campaign.

Baiganx: JAO hasnt got a tenth of the gameplay mechanics JA2 had, and I am not speaking of fanpatch 1.13 here, just the plain JA2 as it came out. JAO is crappy and a cash grab

Don't buy, this game was already abandoned by the company long time ago.

The game said it had mutiplayer, my friend and i couldn't even get it to work.

@AbsoulHero: We unlock pvp at level 7. After that just click on the skull on the worldmap to play multiplayer. Currently the only way to play against your friend is using mercs with similar levels , queuing at the same time and hoping that you are matched against each other.
