how to reduce lag

i heard about this game is fun,but when i download and play it,it very lag,and it cause me cannot enjoy the game.my computer should be okay because it window 7,64 bit,4gb ram,graphic card ATI RADEON 1024mb.is there any way to reduce lag?

the more player playing the more lag you get... i tried playing at midnight and it doesn't lag at all

Are you talking about low frames or internet lag? They aren't the same thing.

If it's frames per second, get more RAM. 4gb is minimum spec, and the posted minimum isn't really what it should be. :)

OP: also, you should try only lowering the master graphics quality to 'low'. That just controls all the really fancy effects, and you can still change all of the other options independently.

Low frames per second is caused by having insufficiently powerful hardware and causes more severe stuttering of everything on screen the lower your FPS.

Lag is caused by your internet connection (or, rarely, server problems), and only effects moving assets, such as players, vehicles and bullets. With lag, you can move your mouse around, and everything but players can move smoothly, or everything can move smoothly, and yet you constantly miss shots, get shot from around corners and so on.

Press alt+F ingame to view your FPS.

It's an issue with the game, also ATI RADEON 1024MB says nothing, I need the number after it. For example, I have an ATI Radeon HD 7950 3GB. I can run nearly every game on ultra at 60FPS or more, but Planetside 2 decides that even at 1024x768 on lowest settings I will only get around 50-70FPS.
