So did this game kill WoW yet?

Just wondering, you know, because I remember a bunch of people spamming up the internet like 4 or 5 years ago about how this game was gonna kill WoW for sure...

vanguard had a pretty standing chance at robbing wow of it's playerbase, but the crappy launch and SoE gimped the game. another year in development and this would have been the golden apple of mmos.

Vanguard proved that people dont want any sort of challenge. It wont be a well thought out and fairly difficult game that dethrones WoW, it will be a thoughtless title like Free Realms.

Vanguard isn't challenging, you're mistaking challenge for a poorly balanced poorly thought out game. WoW is plenty challenging for those that want that sort of thing, while being well balanced.

I'm sure Guild Wars 2 could take up the WOW killing mantle, but PWI's Perfect World had already slayed the beast.

Sony bought out Vigil(i think it was them) with the promise of contiuning this game. In the end they killed the devlopment team because they didn't want this to take away from there "successful" EQ2.

You did read my response to his comment right? He said absolutely no FTP has out done WoW. Believe me PW (Perfect World) has outdone WoW in almost every aspect. What PW didn't finish WoW, Well then PWI's Forsaken World did.
