I've bought DL earlier this year and was disappointed. I was expecting some massive update or at least the bugs to be fixed so I could go back and try to enjoy the game. Sad..

Another game ruined by paradox, this time even causing the dev company to disband. Shame because they have the potential to make great innovative games.

We sat down to talk and agreed that it is time for us to stop before the love runs out. Our greatest fear has always been that Critical would become “work”, the kind where you go to everyday and can’t wait for the weekend to come. There was a real danger that we were sacrificing all the things that made Critical what it was, just to keep an office open and an appearance of stability.
Not really Paradox fault.
They closed because they realized, making Games is work.
That is pretty uhm.. I don't know what word to put here.

Then Paradox shouldn't associate themselves with ♥♥♥♥ty developers that provide ♥♥♥♥ poor support to their game, such as this one, since that appears to be a common trend among them.

Oh man, that quote makes me uncomfortable that I supported them before. Of course making something good is going to take work. Damn. That is sad.

Did they ever make it so somebody besides the host could play as dungeon master? That was the only update I wanted.

What they meant, it's no longer fun coming to workplace and nearly lost their passion due to excessive amount of stress. Paradox is not blameless either considering they're quick to pull the plug when a project failed to meet their expectation.

I can understand their feeling, i felt the same with my last job.

When you sell something, you have a responsibility.
Especially when the product is in a faulty state.
Stealing themselves out of the affair like this is wrong.
Period.
There is nobody else to blame.

even if they're closed, there's enough content the make the game work playing. I'd bot tones of "dead" games in the past, and they can still be fun.
