This is my rig and on low at 1080p it chugs at about 18fps when too much is happening on the screen. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xRyo
Ridiculous and then they have the gall to add in DLC when you can't even play it.
I agree! But what I don't get, is why it's so damn inconsistent. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
Either that or get better internet
To be fair, Paradox is the publisher. Critical Studios came up with the coding which makes some of us suffer these abysmal framerates. If anyone reading has had these problems, can offer a solution to this and would post it here, I'd be grateful.
Please stop acting like you know the solution to all of our issues.
1080p is standard and my rig can run it
I have a 40mb/s down connection
Your solution is useless.
This is a problem with the game, not our rigs.
Just ignore him, he doesn't deserve the attention.
Aye.
It's true that if you have a 4:3 or 5:4 monitor you will have problems in DM Mode with the cards overlapping other elements of the UI... but honestly, I've tried a LOT of resolutions, fullscreen vs. windowed, a LOT of graphical settings and a LOT of AA/AF, VSync, Triple Buffer, Texture Filtering, Pre-Render Queue settings, fiddled around with CPU core affinity (long story short: same result like qwerty557) and probably a bunch of stuff I already forgot and they all did diddly squat to fix the issue. Interestingly enough, I have to play on 1280x800 like you because of the UI issues if I even want to play it like this. And the framerate is AWFUL.
If changing the resolution fixed any issues for you: congrats. But please don't act like that's the solution for everyone here and we are all idiots. Besides, read the OP - lowering resolution didn't help him either. Or not by much.
Now I'm not calling you a troll, but if you are really here to help, then bring something to the table instead of saying your "cheap laptop runs this game perfectly fine". We all are pretty much over recommended system requirements and as long as your laptop is as well, it should run the game well. Your system does, ours' do not... magic? Incompetence on our part? Terrorists? I don't think so.
TL;DR: You don't know what you are talking about. Not really, no.
