Monster circle + Dire ducks---: Dire ducks is fine, but if you're taking dire ducks, don't take ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monster circle. If you cast monster circle dire ducks on a squishy character, that may as well be an instant death for that character. It's the ultimate cheap kill and screams your lack of ability to string together real combos. Thank god for evasive perk against the sadistic DMs who do this.
Running away with a possessed monster---: The complete time-waster "I want to win" DM will use this. They can't bare to lose their special/boss possessed monster and will run away with it like a little girl, not even trying to catch you. Bonus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ points for any DM who does this when that monster is the last one before you walk through the gate. Let's face it, if the heroes managed to kill off every other monster, they're GOING to kill you. I don't care what you are, spider, dire duck, ninja rat, you're simply dead once the heroes catch up to you. So don't waste time, let us kill you already!
Freezing---: Freezing is good, when used in combination with other stuff. But I can't count how many times i've been frozen when there's not a single monster left! It's a time-waste! I'm just going to break out and run through the gate once the freeze wears off. Don't you realise how bored the heroes must be at this point, just sitting there waiting for your spell to finish? Don't do it!
False drop abuse---: Putting a false drop down when someone is too close to consciously avoid it, is bullcrap. The auto pull-in of items means that I can't deliberately choose not to take the false drop if put down right as i'm about to walk to that spot. The whole challenge of using it is to trick players into thinking its a real piece of food and not a trap, like putting it down when a monster is killed off-screen. Some heroes might be too distracted to realise. It's not a missile and you shouldn't abuse it in that way. At least with a missile I have time to dodge!
