What a rip....
I hope those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s rot, making an unfinished product, selling it and not once making any effort to fix the issues...and then up and run? Well this is the first disappointment of this generation that I paid for....

I should have clarified, the first disappointment that I actually paid for. Aliens CM I almost was sold on but I had a feeling it was going to be bad.

I usually hate these kind of threads but for once I agree. Not so much the game never got finished but it was buggy and unplayable throughout the whole time. I'm on a good connection and it timed out time after time... It was only £7 or something but still.

I would normally disagree, but I just read the developer's letter on why they were closing - not because of financial or personnel problems, but because they decided that game-making was starting to "feel like work." Pretty pathetic. I think the generation has had a lot of disappointments before this, though.

The devs are shutting down over the weekend. Happy?

And I actually liked Aliens: Colonial Marines. Got it for $5, bought the single player DLC after that. Worth the money I spent given most of the problems I've heard about were absent after the few months I waited. Team mate AI would get lost occasionally, but no other problems for me.

They're shutting down on their own accord because making video games is too much work for them...go read their big article post. They should have never gotten into it in the first place, great ideal but amateur at best.

Everyone starts somewhere. Many of the bigger companies started as a few people in a garage. They tried, and found that it wasn't for them, but they didn't know that going in.

The 'Free To Play' version is nothing more than a demo. The paid DLC (which all previous purchasers got) includes all the content we paid for already.

Basically, its nothing more than a mislabled demo trying to get purchases by showing up in the Free to Play list.
