One...more....turn....
This game is making me crazy. I managed to get within one hex of Baku before the scenario expired. When advancing on Kuibyshev, my panzers were within one move of capturing it.

So close and yet so far.

PS: Anybody want to trade some worthless Romanians divisions for...oh...anything? I've give you 10:1 in trade!

hehe. I know how you feel. Sometimes I would just set out to beat a scenario first then try to adapt to the changing conditions and eventually (at least on the russian side) I eventually figured out how to beat those impossible seeming fights. But it seemed impossible many times and I've never gone back to do the german side so I can't really give you advice. I just know they are beatable at the victory levels required. It isn't much but it's all I can offer. Good luck!

To be literally one hex away! Argh. Isn't this game amazing? Some of the distances covered in these scenarios are just crazy! That Baku one, for example. I'm sure it's doable since I wasted three turns restoring and defending supply lines. (Those darn Romanians aren't fit to defend parking lots!)

Do you have a favorite or hated scenario? Kuibyshev crushed my soul.

Yeah, the Romanian and Italian units are pretty poor. I only use them for two things: (1) Slowing down enemy units within its sphere of control at full strength, particularly powerful units; and (2) Finishing off enemy units that have been starved of supply for several turns.
