-New Action Commands to keep things interesting
-Fancy Shmancy 3-d Graphics and overall new look
-Charles Martinez (Voice of Mario)
-Bonus items and and hidden levels/paths offer some replay value
-Probably easier than the BIT.TRIP 1 (??)
-Same style of gameplay as the first so if pattern memorization and repetitive platforming aren't you're thing, you'll probably want to go elsewhere
-Probably easier than BIT.TRIP 1 (...)
Runner 2 looks and sounds fresh. Charles Martinez does narration and fits right in. If you liked Runner than you'll love this. It's gotten a little whackier but it's good whacky. I personally found the death more bearable with all the hidden secrets, new mechanics, checkpoints and a world map so you can pick alternate levels. There's also a difficulty modifier for filthy casuals like me. I've only played on "rather hard" because YOLO which brings me to the negatives...
BIT.TRIP 2 Runner 2 has the same negatives as regular BIT.TRIP Runner as it can get monotonous. Even though it looks and sounds good, this game still does not make me want to rise up to the challenge of squeezing commander vidya's black *** through/over/under every possible obstacle death ater countless death. With Runner 1, I felt there was so much dead time inbetween your spawn and that one obstacle that was just kicking your rear-end. This has gotten better with Runner 2 but it is still the same basic repetition. If you're a platforming god this won't be a problem but I doubt any whose played this hasn't died. A lot.
