Better than bit trip runner?

I got the coupons for 25% of and was wondering if the game is any better than the first runner? Beause the first game didn't come close to how much fun I had with beat. So is it dramatically improved/changed or just more of the same?

It's a similar sort of thing, but it feels so polished, it's fantastic.

I did really like runner, but I didn't really stick with it that far. This has kept me far more interested.

The basic principle is the same as in the first one: jump and dodge things scrolling along the screen. But the difficulty is more easy than in any other Bit.Trips before, I could beat the first 3 or 4 levels with perfect on the first try. It gets more difficult with every level and in the first (of 5 I believe) world each 2nd or so level a new game mechanic is introduced. I never have beaten the first Runner stage, but am now on stage 2 here and got perfect on each level of the first stage. The graphics are good, but more in a convential jump'n'run style than the before distinguished Bit.Trip look. I am not yet convinced this is a good thing, but it has it's own appeal.
So far I like Runner 2 a lot. It's different, but in a good way.

It is the same conecept but improved in anyway. If you didn't enjoy the core gameplay then you won't like this, but if you enjoyed the gameplay but thought it could have been done better then this is basically it, but if you didn't enjoy the gameplay then stay clear.
