I bought this in the Indie Spring sale and I thought it was pretty good for the price but one thing that bugs me how do I scrap taxes?

Well, if you are that badass and cannot scrap a tax then lower it completely. How on earth do you survive without taxes?
Shattered Seraph Apr 8, 2013 @ 2:57pm
i've only played the demo but i believe you cancel the policy
fatwednesdayite Apr 8, 2013 @ 2:58pm
Yep. Some taxes can be cancelled, essential ones such as the Income Tax cannot be scrapped but can be lowered to minimal levels.

You can't eliminate income taxes?
America survived over a hundred and forty years without an income tax
Good riddance I won't buy this game

Not the game developer's problem that you're an idiot.

I'm an idiot because I know that developers should do some research beforehand?
Or am I an idiot because I accept and understand that after the Civil War until Theodore Roosevelt got into office that America had its biggest level of growth ever, and taxes were very low at the time
Are they or you missing the fact that America had the income to pay for the Civil War and wasn't brought back until 1914 with the unconstitutional 16 amd
The 16 was debated having a 10% limit but they felt that if they included the limit then future congress would make it that high
The income tax was a response to the govt own inflation by the federal reserve that was created at the time, which the govt needed more money faster because of increased prices
There is nothing good about the income tax, and if this game has such a bias that you cant even eliminate then I wouldn't play it if it were free

You are very right but as has been discussed above, this game is extremely amateurish, unrealistic and biased. There is nothing we can do.

You're an idiot because you're comparing a completely different situation to a modern one. Guess what, we aren't going to go back to using tariffs to collect government revenue. Income tax is a necessity for a modern state, deal with it. Go back to your Ron Paul youtube videos and quit acting like you know anything, because you clearly do not.

You know if you can't refute me with facts then just insults then I'll gladly keep watching Hayek, Peter Schiff, Tom Woods, John Stossel, Murray Rothbard, Yaron Brook, Judge Napolitano, The Cato Institute, Henry Hazlitt, Von Mises Institute, Hoover Institute, Heritage Institute, Freedom Works, Fraser Institute, Mercatus Center George Mason University
The list goes on and on
Ron Paul barely touched on the edge of any of the others before or after him did, Ron Paul barely touched on intrinsic value in precious metals
Do you want to hear about the Broken Window Fallacy or the Seen and the Unseen?
What about deflation?
What about Hayek's Business Cycle Theory?
If income taxes are so great then why have 4 cities on CA declared bankruptcy? They should have the money for their welfare state if their income is around 13%
Shoud we ever worry about the Laffer Curve?
Since you think govt taxes are good do you want to hear about all the waste there is with your tax dollars?

No, he has a point, 140 years without an income tax is how we survived, but it's because of entiements and how we can't get rid of them that make getting rid of income taxes impossable, if the developers have included a national sales tax, fair tax, or even a flat tax, then things could be different.

Let's add the Detriot bankruptcy to the list of failed liberal states.
I don't want to say that states shouldn't choose to have an income tax if they want one badly enough. If they do or don't want to have an income tax that should be their choice. I live in Las Vegas. We tax the tourists. So Nevada has no income tax, and we're doing fine.
Wow I forgot to add ReasonTV to my list up there. What a pitty.

POINT OF ORDER!

1:Liberlas are agianst big government.(Look it up in the dictionary)

2: there is a mod that let's you cancle income tax ;)

3:Realty has a "bigger government is better" bias.

4: you can create a "reppulican heaven"(The Merican Republican not the real meaning of the word) , aka absolute religon whit low taxes on the rich.(The poor getæs ♥♥♥♥ed, but Reps don't care about that)

5: The game is lacking a lot of things....I would like to implement Facism,Dictatorship,Anarchy, the ideas of the venus project.....etc etc
Also the two party system bugs the hell out of me.
Fox702 Sep 23, 2013 @ 3:06pm
Liberal has a different definition in the American and Canadian politics than it does in Europe and Asia.

Can you check your spelling next time. Before you publish something over the web you should save and come back to it later.

Lets see. In order to scrap the income tax we would NEED to scrap our military as well. Simple fact of the matter, the United States of America, during the times you are all trying to say PROVES we don't need an income tax, had a VERY small standing army...VERY small.
