I just had it with mmo's with toxic communities..
I used to play wow but we all know how salty that game got after each nerf.
Now conan too meh.. starting to think there aren't any decent online communities left..
The kind of things I see ignored are the continual requests of 'where's the WB' when it was just answered and there have been some trolls asking total noob questions and then some noobs wanting excessive hand holding 'how do I get my shackles off?' - 'do what the quest guide tells you to do' - 'but I don't read those .....'.
I don't know, I've never had a problem and try to help when I can.
Your wording is very telling.
I've been playing WoW off and on since it launched in europe, the current expansion (Legion) is easily the best the game has been since WOTLK. Your statement about nerfs leads me to believe you were very specific to a class that was nerfed, as there's little logic to it otherwise. Which means you're talking about trolling forums over in game participation, more-so in a decent guild.
I also beta-tested and then ran AoC from early access up until about a year of playtime since it launched. I have played off-and-on since then. It has always suffered the same issues all other MMO's have always suffered. Crap communities tend to happen to crap players, if you're half decent and take the time you'll usually find a good group to play with.
Not every game is toxic. Remember the good ole days of SWG?
I remember SWG. Still my top MMORPG. Even till this day, even though it's dead. I've met some friends there that I actually got to know and we still talk to each other. RIP, SWG.
One can only hope for a new SWG. A good MMORPG that replicates SWG, doesn't even have to be Star Wars. Or a new actual SWG Star Wars MMORPG that isn't the ♥♥♥♥ up that is Star Wars: The Old Republic.
people rant on about blacks, jews and gays on a minutely basis on the global chat
No it's ethically and morally correct to spread hate on minorities.
Get outta here kid.
